Marine City Gunsmith proprietor Jesse White is a Michigan native with family ties to Anchor Bay Drive and the St. Clair River Flats area beginning with his Grandparents.

A 1985 graduate of University Liggett school in Grosse Pointe Woods, Jesse studied at Macomb Community College and then the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit before joining the Marine Corps. Serving with the First Battalion, Fourth Marines as a Radioman in Operation Desert Storm, Jesse began an active interest in Gunsmithing. Following the Corps Jesse worked in Architectural Restoration in California before returning to Michigan, working first in Carpentry and then in Machining.

As his spare bedroom slowly became a gun shop, Jesse decided to enroll in the 16-month Master Gunsmithing program at the Pennsylvania Gunsmith School, graduating on January 13th, 2006 and returning to Marine City to open his shop.
